Thunderhead over Arbutus Hill

Thunderhead over Arbutus Hill

I captured this image of an utmost pastoral meadow and hill in my hometown of Litchfield, Connecticut. This is my absolute favorite vista in town. While the thunderclouds moved in, I kept photographing their movement. I chose this image because I like the peaking of blue sky and the orange glow from the setting sun. An eight second exposure was just enough to show how quickly the clouds were moving in. I also don't mind the grasses showing a bit of movement. For me, showing movement, especially in nature photography can be very transportive. It allows me to relive the experience of being there, every time I view it.
